Our 2024 Athletics Day was one for the books, filled with thrilling action and plenty of cheering. It was fantastic to see so many students giving events like discus, long jump, and the 200m a go.
After intense competition from each Whānau, the results from the day are as follows:
- Rimu
- Pōhutukawa
- Kauri
- Mataī
- Nīkau
- Tōtara
As well as our Whānau winners, we also had several athletes competing hard to be named champions. Below are the individual champions from this year’s event:
Junior Girls: Jordan Viljoen (Kauri) & Leah Marais (Pōhutukawa)
Junior Boys: Grayson Ryan (Tōtara)
Intermediate Girls: Amelia McKenzie (Nīkau)
Intermediate Boys: Meesi Veilofia (Pōhutukawa) and Koby Burrett (Mataī)
Senior Girls: Mischa Marais (Pōhutukawa)
Senior Boys: Jamie Mead (Nīkau)
