Pegasus Learning Centre student, Faamoemoe Latu, has been recognised for his outstanding dedication to learning, receiving a prestigious award at the recent MIT Trades Academy Prizegiving.
Attending the academy one day a week, Faamoemoe was honoured with the Tohu Māia – Most Diligent Student Award for Level 1 Life Skills for Living. Despite being in the course for just a year, Faamoemoe’s hard work and enthusiasm have clearly paid off.
“I have a lot of fun with the classes. I also made a lot of new friends,” he said.
The course provides our Pegasus students with life-skill experience, setting them up for greater independence. When asked what his favourite part of the programme was, he eagerly said “I love working with food. I help my mum with food deliveries and my uncle with making pork buns.”
Year 12 student Mack Brady also received a Level 2 Tohu Māia – Most Diligent Student Award for Level 2 Electrical.
Congratulations to you both!
