Oftentimes, I’ve been bored around the house. Then, I’d start to scroll through Pinterest. I’d see a bunch of delicious looking cookies and blondies to elaborate cakes and crepes across my screen. I’d wish I had the opportunity, ingredients or time to make some of those. Of course, this article and recipe I will be showing you today will not be teaching you how to make said elaborate cakes, but instead, a good way to kick off your baking journey in one of the simplest arts of baking: brownies!

I got this recipe off Pinterest, and I will be labelling the ingredients and going over the method with you!

Make sure you have all these ingredients in your house:

· Sugar: These easy brownies start with two cups of white sugar.
· Flour: All-purpose flour creates structure in the batter.
· Butter: Melted butter gives the brownies moisture and richness.
· Eggs: Eggs lend even more moisture. Plus, they help bind the batter together.
· Cocoa powder: Of course, you’ll need cocoa powder for chocolate brownies!
· Vanilla: Vanilla extract enhances the overall flavour of the brownies.
· Baking powder: Baking powder acts as a leavener, which means it helps the brownies rise.
· Salt: A pinch of salt enhances the flavours of the other ingredients.
· Chocolate chips: A personal addition from my end to add to the chocolate flavour.

2 cups white sugar
1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
1 cup butter, melted
4 eggs
½ cup cocoa powder
½ teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
½ teaspoon salt

With all the ingredients written down, let’s get into the method.

Preheat the oven to 175 degrees Celsius. Make sure you have a tray that is suitable for baking, and grease it.

Mix the sugar, flour, melted butter, eggs, cocoa powder, vanilla, baking powder, and salt in a mixing bowl until combined.

Pour the batter into the pan and spread it about evenly. Sprinkle the chocolate chips along the top of the batter.

Gently lower the tray into the oven and bake the batter for up to 20 to 30 minutes, or until the top is dry and the edges have started to pull away from the sides of the tray.

Bring it out and let it cool. Cut it up afterwards and you should be rewarded with 16 slices of easy-to-make brownie!
