At the end of March, Year 13 History students, alongside Ms Locke and Dr Davison, visited MOTAT’s Aviation Hall. They were there to see the Lancaster Bomber exhibit and hear about the experiences of young flight crews who flew Lancaster Bombers during the Second World War. Members of the New Zealand Bomber Command Association, led by Chris Newey, shared with the students their expert knowledge and showed them around the plane. We greatly appreciated their efforts as they helped to bring to life the experiences of the crews and of that time in history.
