Mr Daniels Wins Auckland Hockey Award
Last week, our Sports Coordinator Clive Daniels was acknowledged at the annual Auckland Hockey Awards evening and received the Auckland Hockey Assn Stu Ramage Memorial Cup for Commitment and Service for his commitment and service to the sport!
Clive’s commitment and service have positively impacted many players, coaches, and managers. He has been the head coach of Pakuranga College for numerous years helping hundreds of students improve and represent Auckland in their age groups.
Clive has also been part of Howick Pakuranga Hockey Club for 10+ years which he has been the Premier Men’s Head Coach since 2012. Clive also leads numerous holiday programs and coaching workshops to help up-and-coming coaches for the club.
Clive’s commitment and service have also been seen through the representative level. He has worked with U18, and U21 and has been the head coach for Auckland’s NHC team for the past 4 years.

Junior Volleyball Champs
Our Junior Volleyball Boys triumphed at the Auckland Junior Volleyball Champs last week, defeating Howick in 2 sets and battling St Kents to a victory in 3 sets. They showed remarkable improvement and determination between matches.
Coaches Aaron and Cornelius played a crucial role in refining the team’s skills and strategies, leading to a more united and spirited performance.
Beyond the wins, the tournament highlighted sportsmanship and unity, with each play reflecting their dedication to the sport, big applause to the team for their outstanding performance, coaches for their guidance, and everyone for their unwavering support.
1st XI Cricket Wraps Up Their Season
The 1st XI Cricket Boys’ team has finished their season, winning four from four in Term 4! On Saturday 25 November the team played Orewa College and two of our Year 13 players had big milestones. Captain Bhav Minhas reached 133 runs not out, while Willem Hewitson-Townley got five wickets, including the first of the game on the first ball and then a hat-trick in the last over! The team won 197-89, congratulations boys!
Both Bhav and Willem received Pakuranga College baggy caps for their outstanding performances for the team over the season.
