Cheerleading

NZ Majors Competition
Our new cheerleading team debuted at the New Zealand Majors competition over the weekend, coming 2nd in the High School 3 grade! The squad of 16 girls has only been together since the start of Term 2, practising once a week at the All Star Fame cheerleading school, under the guidance of their coaches.

Each cheer routine must contain dance, tumbling, pyramid, and stunt elements. Many of the team are dancers, making this the strongest element of their performance. They compete again in mid-September and the girls plan to work on their stunt elements ahead of this, the biggest challenge for our newly-minted cheer team. Go girls!

Cross Country

Cross Country Nationals
Congratulations to Leah Marais (Pōhutukawa) for her stellar performance at the Cross Country Nationals! Her Auckland team also clinched gold in the U16 girls’ team event!  She further excelled in the mixed relays, securing silver in the U16 mixed 4x2km. Fantastic achievements, Leah – what a haul!

  • A special shoutout to Boston Meleisea (Kauri), who represented Waitakere West Auckland, the winners in the boys’ competition!

Our Pegasus students shone at the Auckland Secondary Schools Football Special Olympics last month! Competing against three teams, they triumphed in one game and showcased incredible sportsmanship, teamwork, and resilience.
It was awesome seeing everyone cheering for their teammates’ goals, we’re so proud of everyone for giving it their all!
