Premier Boys’ Basketball Team Climbing the Ranks
Our Premier Boys’ Basketball team is on fire with a 3-0 winning streak to start the season! Their most recent victory was against Selwyn College with a final score of 76-62. Keep pushing!

Premier Girls’ Basketball
Last Thursday our Premier Girls’ Basketball team went up against Baradene College and came away with a win! Finishing the match 57-17, the girls dominated the court in a masterful display.

Junior Girls’ Basketball
On Wednesday last week, our Junior Girls’ Basketball team also had a strong win against Baradene, finishing the game with a score of 59-18! Ka pai!

Football

1st XI Girls’ Football
Our 1st XI Girls’ Football team dominated with a 4-1 win against St Cuthbert’s College recently! Player of the Day, Danaca Stralen, owned the field, netting an impressive hat-trick (3 goals in a single game), while Margot Schmidt sealed the deal with a goal of her own! Awesome effort girls!

1st XI Boys’ Hockey – Win After Win
Our 1st XI Boys’ Hockey team has had a stellar few matches recently:

5-1 victory against King’s College 2nd XI a fortnight ago.
8-0 victory against Pukekohe High School last week.

U15 Girls’ Hockey Win Big
On Tuesday last week, our U15 Girls’ Hockey team posted a big win against Marist U15, winning 7-0! Amazing mahi girls!

Kevin Awarded Taekwondo Medals

Year 10 Kauri student, Kevin Edwards, dominated the Auckland Regional Taekwondo Championships a fortnight ago, bringing home an impressive collection of medals!

Next up, Kevin will take on the NZ Nationals at the end of August and proudly represent New Zealand at the World Cup in Argentina this October, Best of luck Kevin!

Distance Cross Country Champs Wins

Last week, four students proudly represented the college in the Distance Running Cross Country Championships! Congratulations to Year 13 student Margot Schmidt, as well as Year 9 students Leah Marais, Giselle Campbell, and Jade McDonald!

A special shout-out to Leah Marais for her phenomenal performance, finishing 1st in the Junior Grade, a full 40 seconds ahead of 2nd place, in a time of 11:08.6.

Netball

New Zealand Men’s and Mixed Netball Association Youth Squads
The New Zealand Men’s and Mixed Netball Association has announced their Youth Squads for U23, U20, and U17. We’re proud to see our own Ben Merchant (Tōtara, Year 13) and Cory Clifford (Pōhutukawa, Year 12) shining bright among the selected players. Plus, alumni Lucas Cook, Logan Assink, and Nicholas Putman have also been named in the squad! Lots of representation from Pakuranga College – congratulations boys!

Senior B Netball Girls Win
Our Senior B Netball girls secured a thrilling 16-14 win against ACG Parnell in a nail-biting match! Congratulations on the awesome win girls!

Junior Netball Wins
It was a clean sweep for our Year 9 Saturday game netball teams a fortnight ago, with three victories! Keep up the mahi girls!

Year 9 Diamonds sparkled with a 29-12 win against MAGS Year 9 Stars.
Year 9 Sapphires claimed a 13-4 victory against Marist College Year 9 Kahurangi.
Year 9 Amber triumphed 7-6 against AGGS Year 9 Pride.
