Hockey Auckland Representatives

A huge shoutout to Veronique Koole, Layna Cooper, Kahlan Allen, and Kaylin Jacobsohn, our talented hockey stars who represented Auckland in U16 Northern Region Hockey!

Competing in the Premier Grant McLeod Tournament, Veronique’s team showed fighting spirit to claim a well-deserved 3rd place, while Layna, Kahlan, Kaylin showed grit and teamwork in the Riki Burgess Tournament.

Congratulations athletes for your sportsmanship and determination on the North Harbor Bay turf, even in challenging conditions!

Badminton Championships

XP NZ Gymnastics Championship
Huge congratulations to Joline Chin from Mataī and Abby Powell from Tōtara for their outstanding performances at the XP NZ Gymnastics Championships!
Abby took home 1st place overall in the Step 7 Overs division, earning the NZ National Title in Artistic Gymnastics! She also placed 2nd on the beam and qualified for all apparatus finals! Joline competed in Aerobics and secured 4th place in the Junior International Individual!
Amazing work, Abby and Joline, we’re so proud of you both!
McKinnon Shield Win

In mid-October,  Kauri student, Jordan Viljoen, dominated the McKinnon Shield preseason event, winning the Pentathlon. She crushed the 80m Hurdles, Shot Put, Long Jump, 200m, and High Jump!

Then, last Sunday at McKinnon Shield #1 and Auckland Secondary Schools Comp #1, she took first place in the 80m Hurdles again! Ka pai!

Softball Success or Felix

Well done to Felix Stephen of Mataī and his NZ Green softball team for taking 2nd place at the inaugural Tasman Cup 2024 in Sydney over the holidays! We hope you are proud of all the hard work, dedication, and learning.

Rugby Auckland Representatives

Ka pai to Manchester Ofisa, Peyton Ridley, Samson Veilofia, Mehtab Sekhon, Henry Lomu, Ezayel Tapatuetoa, and Reagan Tukerangi for being selected to represent Auckland in U18 rugby!  Let’s go boys!

Futsal Kickoff
The season is officially underway for our Junior Girls’ Futsal team! They kicked things off with an incredible match against Glendowie College, securing a stunning 14-0 victory! Way to go team, let’s keep the momentum going!
Rugby 7s Win at Tournament
Massive congratulations to our Rugby 7s team for dominating the Auckland Rugby Secondary Schools 7s Tournament and taking home the championship!
