Our Ultimate Frisbee teams crushed it in Taupō at the NZ Secondary School Ultimate Championships! Our girls’ team finished 3rd in the Girls’ Championship, and our open team secured 4th in the Open Championship! Check out their wins throughout the tournament!

Hockey
Macleans College Pre-season Tournament
Our girls’ and boys’ hockey teams went to the Macleans College Pre-season Tournament for a final trial and first hit-out. The boys went UNDEFEATED, taking down Howick, St Peter’s, MAGS, and Macleans, plus nine junior players gained solid experience!
The girls fought hard, securing a 2-2 draw vs MAGS and taking plenty of positives from the other matchups. A strong start to the season ahead!
Boys’ Team Promotion/Relegation Match
Our 1st XI Boys’ Hockey team dominated St Peter’s College with a massive 9-0 win in their promotion/relegation game, securing a spot in the Premier Grade – the top boys’ grade in Auckland! An incredible achievement, and we couldn’t be prouder. Let’s go, boys!

BMX
Huge shoutout to Molly Buckley for crushing it at the BMX New Zealand National Championships in Invercargill! Molly secured a spot in the finals, finishing 5th in NZ!
Her journey has been nothing short of incredible, battling through a dislocated shoulder, torn rotator cuff, concussion, crushed vertebrae, and a ruptured PCL, yet she came back stronger than ever!
She also helped her Mountain Raiders team place 3rd in the National Teams Series and contributed to her club winning the Larry Gardener Trophy for top-performing club!
She even inspired young girls at a local Invercargill primary school, telling her story and proving that strength isn’t just about racing but also lifting others up.
Swimming
Maeve McDonnell put on an incredible performance representing Pakūranga College at the NZ Secondary School Open Water Swimming Championships, bringing home gold in all three distances: 3.5km, 1km, and 500m in the F14-15 age group!
Even more impressive? She was Pakūranga College’s only competitor, yet she still helped the school secure 4th place in the rankings, beating schools with multiple swimmers! Huge congratulations to Maeve on this amazing achievement!
Cricket
The 1st XI Boys’ Cricket team took on St Paul’s and came out on top with a 106-run victory! Congratulations to:
- Aryan Sharifi, who smashed 74 runa
- Rudra Shah, who dominated with a five-wicket haul=

Futsal
Congratulations to our Boys’ Futsal team for smashing it with a 4-1 win over One Tree Hill! What a way to wrap up the season, congratulations boys!
Volleyball
Eastern Competiton
Six of our Volleyball teams battled it out in the Eastern Competition this term, and the results speak for themselves:
- Boys 1 – 3rd place with wins over Glendowie, Howick, Selwyn, Botany, and Elim.
- Boys 2 – 2nd equal, taking down Elim, Macleans, and St Kent’s.
- Boys 3 – Secured a solid win against Glendowie.
- Girls 1 – 3rd place, with wins over Selwyn, Glendowie, and St Kent’s.
- Girls 2 – Also 3rd place, beating Glendowie and St Kent’s.
- Girls 3 – Took home a win against Glendowie.
Huge shoutout to our coaches, staff, and managers for making it all happen!
Auckland Senior Volleyball Champs
Our teams smashed it at the Auckland Senior Volleyball Champs!
Boys’ team:
- Day 1 – Huge win over Kelston’s Premier team and Mangere, securing a Division 1 (Top 16) spot.
- Day 2 – Tough loss to eventual champs Rangitoto, but bounced back with a win over Massey to push for Top 10.
- Day 3 – Beat Papakura to finish 10th overall!
Girls’ team:
- Day 1 – Lost to Otahuhu’s Premier 1 team but fought back with a win over Mt Roskill.
- Day 2 – Dominated Rosehill, Glenfield, and Edgewater, only dropping one set to top their pool!
- Day 3 – A tough finish but still landed 20th out of 56 teams, amazing effort!
