On Monday 20 May, two teams from Pakuranga College proudly participated in the Senior Ethics Olympiad, engaging in enriching and thought-provoking discussions with teams from across the North Island. This competition provided a platform for our students to showcase their understanding of ethical theories and delve into specific case studies, demonstrating their analytical prowess and moral reasoning.
Year 12 Rimu student, Cerys Gibby, described the event as “not only an intellectually stimulating experience but also an event that developed my ability to approach real-world problems from multiple different perspectives and angles.” Year 13 Mataī student, Depali Lamba, found it a “fascinating experience” and Year 13 Nīkau student, Margot Schmidt, found it extremely rewarding to “successfully come together as a team under pressure”.
Ka pai to all our participants!
